Great progress in becoming a representative of winemakers for the Norwegian market
Litangen
All is in place, from permits to distribution to sales and marketing towards the professional market (wine bars, restaurants etc) and the regulated retail market, and we are now approaching the ridiculously limited domestic wine-press with our news. To get a positive review obviously means a lot, and our feeling must be similar to a curator presenting an exhibition to critics. The portfolio is a statement of preferences within self imposed limitations.
It happens faster than we were able to foresee. Beside trading, Arendal Vintners has now become an agent for and representative of very interesting European winemakers. The first ones are already listed at The State Monopoly (controlling our domestic retailing market), and will be in the public sales catalogue from 2nd March. Next deadline for listing is 15th February.
The portfolio so far consists of Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Beaujolais, Montepulciano, Saint Emilion, Haut-Medoc, Sussex and Cotes de Provence. In total forteen wineries providing a fine mix of red, rosé and white. We will continue working on the portfolio in 2018 - and hopefully be covering a wonderful selection of newcomers, trend and tradition by year end.
